Ensuring operational efficiency of your IT environment requires specialized solutions to detect events and predict status changes that impact the end-user experience. CTG assists clients in implementing a Centre of Excellence, a specialized cross-organizational team, for monitoring and performance management, which can include processes, approaches, technologies, and operational staffing.
CTG believes that the focus on customer experience and performance should be an integral part of what drives the entire IT and business organizations. To guide and support our customers, CTG offers services to increase collaboration (between IT teams, as well as between IT and business), improve customer focus (both internal and external customers) and manage infrastructure and application complexity more easily. CTG provides this service across all departments involved in the Application Development Life Cycle: Development, QA and Operations.

CTG'S MONITORING AND PERFORMANCE SOLUTION
Based on best practices and experiences in similar projects, CTG has put together an APM approach Based On Experience (BoX) with 3 pillars: Performance Monitoring & Optimization, Performance Testing and SDLC Integration, organized in an Agile Approach.
Performance Monitoring & Optimization
Performance Monitoring & Optimization includes all activities required to set up application monitoring. From the analysis of the collected information, actions can follow to tune and optimize the performance of the application in line with the APM objectives and requirements.
Performance testing (PT) is inextricably linked to Application Performance Management. Through performance test scripts, load will be placed on the application/component(s) and monitoring captures how all components react, during the development lifecycle. This ensures appropriate release to production.
Ideally, the APM approach is integrated in the broader context of the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle). This is also fully in line with the trend of Shift Left and DevOps where APM activities are performed as early as possible to detect issues and bottlenecks as quickly as possible.
